Beijing Hanyi Keyin Information Technology Co., Ltd., the joint venture between China Academy of Printing Technology (CAPT) and TAICEM (Singapore), was established in Beijing in 1993. Since the beginning, Hanyi has been focusing on providing professional font software developed with URW++'s IKARUS typeface design and production system and cross-platform printing solutions.
Hanyi is the largest chinese font provider in China. It provides the most professional digital fonts; the biggest library of chinese typefaces and the highest cross-platform compatibility are its best features. Hanyi font products cover all major software systems, such as Mac OS, MS Windows, Linux, UNIX, PostScript RIP, etc.
Besides providing independent digital fonts, Hanyi offers cross-platform printing solutions, with the cooperation of both domestic and overseas partners. So far, Hanyi fulfills cross-platform printing solutions for Sun Solaris, HP UNIX, and other systems. Hanyi is devoting more and more resources to developing more and more customer-oriented total solutions.
Hanyi is a NEW TECHNOLOGY ENTERPRISE, recognized by The Office of Beijing Experimental Zone for the Development of New Technology Industries. Hanyi Complete Digital Font Software Development System was awarded The First Grade Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Prize (Ministerial Level) issued by The Press and Publications Administration of the People's Republic of China in Oct. 1997, and The Second Grade Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Prize (National Level) by Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China in Dec. 1998.
Today, Hanyi offers high-quality and high-compatibility digital fonts, such as Bitmap, TrueType, PostScript OCF and PostScript CID, which can be used on computers (Windows, Macintosh, Linux, etc), portable devices (cellular phones, PDA, etc), as well as printing devices. Hanyi will develop more and more chinese fonts along with the emergence of new technology, new computer OS, new Code scheme, etc, to meet customer's need for multi-lingual computing.
Since Hanyi's Font Products came to the market in 1995, we have put large number of high quality outline and bitmap fonts into the domestic and oversea market, such as TrueType, PostScript, CID, OpenType (new) and bitmap which has a high reputation and highest market share in printing field in China.

The library has also 5 different fonts covering the full Unicode 3.0 glyph set.
They contain all glyphs from the CJK area as well as from the CJK Extension A, in total more than 27000 glyphs.
There are even two SuperCJK fonts available covering the new Unicode 4.0 standard with CJK Extension B (totally more than 70.000 glyphs).
URW++ is an authorized, exclusive reseller of these fonts and also supplies technical support with Chinese fonts, applications and operating systems
